New Organization, ACCESSbmx

ACCESSbmx was formed to help riders gain equal treatment and equal access to public skateparks. New video available.

Statement from ACCESSbmx:

"THE PROBLEM
All across America, bicycles are being denied access to riding areas designed for their use, namely 'public' skateparks. These parks are funded by tax dollars, yet not all tax-paying citizens are allowed to use them.

THE SOLUTION
To help remedy this problem, we've formed ACCESSbmx, an organization whose only goal is to get equal treatment for bicycles across the country, which means access to all public ramp parks.

THE VIDEO
The first project from ACCESSbmx is a video to help raise awareness titled No Bikes Allowed. The video documents a road trip through California, Las Vegas, and Arizona featuring Van Homan, Dave Osato, Brian Castillo, Gary Young, and Taj Mihelich. The trip hit cement parks, indoor ramps, and street spots that these guys gave a good workout. No Bikes Allowed should be available in a few weeks directly through www.BMXonline.com, and all proceeds from the video will go directly back into ACCESSbmx.

THE FUTURE
ACCESSbmx will be a hub of information you can use to help get bikes into local parks, as well as getting parks built in the first place. In addition to providing information, ACCESSbmx.com will also have photos of Pros who support the cause, video clips, and a whole lot more, so be sure to check back often."
