From Gene B. ** Albany parks panel to discuss bicycles at skatepark ** Albany, Oregon ( AP ) - 11/11/2002 The Albany Parks & Recreation Commission will hold a public meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday to consider whether to allow BMX bicycles in the Albany Skatepark. The meeting will be at City Hall, 333 Broadalbin St. S.W. At the commission's October meeting, several young people urged the commission to consider allowing BMX bicycles in the skatepark. The commission dedicated the majority of this month's meeting to hear from skateboarders and others before making a recommendation. The Albany Skatepark opened in November 1999. The Council adopted an ordinance prohibiting bicycles a few months later.
